The roof is some plastic roofing (called PalRuf). By far, the most expensive part of the entire coop. Worth it, though, as it's much lighter and easier to work with than tin roofing, in my opinion.

As you can see, the pallets I used had broken slats, and weren't in the best shape. That's fine, as long as they don't fall apart. The roofing keeps the pallets dry, so they shouldn't rot.
