The top of the hive is simply two pieces of plywood nailed together, with 6mil plastic sheeting over it to keep rain out. It works great for that. What I wasn't expecting is the huge amount of moisture coming from *inside* the hive. The nuc adapter has no ventilation, so the plywood over it is soaked (and the plastic keeps the water from evaporating out of the top of the hive). Need to find a better solution to that one.
